The series is getting better and so is the magic and the mystery surrounding Dani. Just like the first book, the story flowed easily as Dani explores her new career and practicing magic. This book also strengthens Dani's friendship with Heather who is such an integral part of her life, and brings focus on her relationship with her daughter as well as the possibility of beginning a relationship with Chris. I liked that the book doesn't get too much into the mutual interest Dani and Chris have for each other and let Dani's character breathe as she navigates her life. I am very excited to read the next book in the series and how she finds out more about the family secrets and magic. I received an advance copy of the book and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

3.75 STARS Second in the series finds Dani slowly adjusting to a new life in Point Pleasant and her recently discovered status as a witch. It's a quick read, very enjoyable. I am looking forward to learning more about the "retirees" as well. Fun fun. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving t

This book is full of new beginnings, new mysteries and more family secrets. I like the set up of Dani as an insurance claims inspector. It gives her a good basis for her sleuthing and gives a wide range of possibilities for adventures. Her friends are super sweet and I wonder if and when she might clue them in on her witchy secret. Chris was kinda rude a bit of a shock after his actions from the prior book but I did like where they ended things. Grace was I’m not sure. She seemed like she should
