The demons have entered the present conflict with manipulation and deception. The family bonds continue to strain more than one character as the shadow clans work to survive. Recommend reading the series in order.

Our heroine is caught in the middle of a struggle she wants nothing to do with. But we are not always given choices and she is going to do her best in a bad situation. This is book four of the series. While it does pretty well on its own, it is better to read the books in order to get the full effect. This is a paranormal romance series featuring shifters. The story is well written and easy to read. The setting is rather detailed and I enjoyed learning more about it ing each book. The cha

Each book drawls you in more and more. Dannika is still strong, yet vulnerable. Putting the blame of things on herself, even if it's not true. Raine is a constant in her life. She needs him like she needs air to breath. Dannika is Raine's everything. We get more information about the other people in their lives and a hint of what the demons want. Why she is so important to the Demon King is still a mystery. The twists are interesting as well.
