This was a unique shifter novel. It has some twists that you would not expect with shifters. The characters are well written. There are graphic adult scenes so this should only be read by mature readers. The story has the Shadow Shifters pitted against the demons who are trying to open a portal and take over the world. I read the first book in the series which was very good. I was a bit disappointed with this one as it wasn't as good as the first one, but it was a decent read and for thos

Colton has been changed by the general’s bite, but the effects won’t show just yet and the resulting damage to others will be an ultimate betrayal, from someone Riley knows well and trusts with her life. It looks like the human world is about to be overwhelmed and there is nothing Riley, Dannika, their mates or clans can do about it, as they are about to be heavily outnumbered.
