Cari is a woman on the run and Gorran is a Sasquatch grieving but their meeting is total fun. When Cari goes to hide out in a cabin in the cascades, she doesn’t expect to find a monster but Gorran is watching the borders of his land. Lots of fun as they begin to understand each other and he protects her both from another tribe and from human hitman. Steamy as she in turn shows him some human ‘things’. Fun and easy read. Lots of learning on both sides.

The second book in the Cascade Beasts series by Sue Mercury, this is Gorran and Cari's story. Cari is running for her life from some gangsters and heads to her family's cabin in the Cascades very close to Starblessed territory and soon finds out her grandfather's tales of Bigfoot are real. Gorran, a grieving Sasquatch, is intrigued by the lone human and their romance is, hummm, compelling. The characters are well written, Storyline fast paced, there is sizzle, steam, and action. Gorran thought that there was nothing left for him but hate against humans until he came across her scent. Then he knew she was his and he’d do anything to protect and keep her. Cari didn’t know what to think. She was in her grandfather’s cabin and a creature from one of his stories told her they were fated mates. What’s she to think? Loved the premise and the storyline. What a sweet romance with a touch of danger and spicy sex! Great characters and worldbuilding. Bravo!.
