‘Security’ is a contested concept in global politics especially International Relations. Security often treated as a sole property of ‘masculinized’ politics of ‘realism’. But, ‘security’ and ‘gender’ both the terms has multifaceted usage. If ‘insecurity’ can be understood by ‘vulnerability’, then, you might agree that every ‘gender’ is vulnerable in pandemic time as it affected both physical and mental security of every individual irrespective of race, region or religion. Dr. Andrey Shastri is Postdoctoral Fellow at Department of Education, University of Lucknow, India. In 2020, she won the “Excellence Educationist Award” by Saksham Society, Jaipur. She completed M.A. in Ancient Indian History (University of Lucknow, India), PhD in History (Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, India) and qualified NET- JRF in History. Previously she was Assistant Professor in Department of History, Avadh Girls' P.G. College, Lucknow India. She authored a book, ‘Women and Education: A Journey towards Their Development (1880-1947)’. She published 16 articles in UGC-listed journals and edited volumes and presented papers in 25 national and International seminars in India and abroad (South Korea and Indonesia). She is Lifetime Member of Indian History Congress and Annual Member of Saksham Society, Jaipur and Interdisciplinary Institute of Human Security and Governance, Delhi. Her research interests include Women Education, Gender Issues, Social Reforms and Reformers, Buddhist Education, and Dalit Studies.
Dr. Nandini Basistha is working as Assistant Professor at Amity Institute of Liberal Arts, Amity University, Mumbai. She is also Executive Director (Honorary) of Interdisciplinary Institute of Human Security & Governance, Delhi. Previously, she was ICSSR Post-Doctoral Fellow at Centre for North East Study and Policy Research, Jamia Milia Islamia; Assistant Professor of South Asian Studies, Kurukshetra University; Senior Fellow at Institute of Foreign Policy Studies, Calcutta University; and UGC-SRF and UGC-JRF at Rajiv Gandhi Chair in Contemporary Studies, University of Allahabad. She authored Politics of Separatism (New Delhi: Vaibhav Publications, 2018); edited Women’s Rights & Justice: Theory & Praxis (New Delhi: Mittal Publications, 2021); Women Empowerment & Welfare: Recent Issues & Trends (New Delhi: Mittal Publications, 2021); co-edited Changing Dimensions of Social Justice in New Global Era (New Delhi: Pentagon Press, 2012) and published research articles in 30 internationally-reputed journals and books in English, Bengali, Portuguese etc. She has presented papers at 45 seminars in India, United Kingdom, and Singapore. She is Editorial Board Member of International Journal of Bio Sciences and Technology (IJBST), non-profit peer-reviewed open access International Journal. She has expertise in South Asian Studies, Identity Politics, Gender Studies, and International Relations.
