About the author
Robert Ziomkowski, Ph.D., who teaches at Ithaca College, Ithaca, N.Y., received a postdoctoral degree at the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies at the University of Toronto in 2002. He earned his doctorate in history from Cornell University in 2000. In 2002-2003, Dr. Ziomkowski curated an exhibition of Cornell's medieval manuscripts and published an online version, From Manuscript to Print: The Evolution of the Medieval Book. Dr. Ziomkowski's teaching repertoire spans Western Civilization, Medieval History, Ancient History, Science in the Western Tradition, and Paleography, among other things.
