Advice and justification for practice routines, not exercises themselves. For those who learn best by understand why something works the way it does, which this book lays out perfectly for guitar. Most guitar workbooks include one page on advice for practice routines -- this book builds upon that page by 30, explaining how to make the best use of your time/sessions. For some people, especially the anxious, that will be worth the few minutes away from the instrument it takes to read this.

Good advice for students of nearly anything. Some of the information is a little too obvious, though. Nonetheless, it is a good book with good direction for guitarists.
