Second Shot with #76

4.25 Stars!! Having picked this story up when it first released i couldn't wait to get into it again! I was so excited when i found out about this audiobook! I started listening to it as soon as i could and was pulled right back into the Hockey Hotties world! It was so awesome getting to experience this story again in this new way. I really enjoyed this listen so very much! I've listened to Vanessa Edwin's narration before, but this was my first time listening to Chance Smolders! These two were so wonderful with their narration! I really liked how both of their voices grabbed my attention and pulled me in. I thoroughly enjoyed what Chance and Vanessa brought to the story with their narration as Cory and Ande! These two had me feeling so much with their voices! Cory and Ande's journey once again hooked me from the start! After their vacation fling these two are brought back into each other's lives. Getting to see how everything would unfold for them again was a treat for me. Both Cory and Ande had me going through such a range of emotions throughout once again and i couldn't get enough of that! The chemistry between these two blushworthy! I fell even more for these characters through this listen. Made my heart so dang happy to be back in this series! It was awesome reuniting with the Hockey Hotties Crew! With Second Shot with #76, The Piper Rayne duo have created such a great and addictive journey! From the narration to the story, this made for one listen i didn't want to turn away from! I loved feeling all kinds of feels once again with this audiobook! I can't wait to listen to more of Chance and Vanessa's narration in the near future! I am so excited for the sixth installment which is Kane's book, Offside With #55! Definitely check this series out if you haven't already!

This is the fifth book in the Hockey Hotties Series and this second chance at love ticked all my boxes and Cory and Ande’s journey is also the perfect addition to this wonderful series. What is it about hockey players that sends our ovaries into overdrive, well I can tell you this, I fell hard and fast for Florida Fury player Cory and I’m sure you will too….. It was only meant to be a holiday fling, it was never meant to be more than a fling in paradise but fate seems intent on pushing this couple together so when Cory finds ot Ande is in town for a new job, he decides to pursue her. Problem is Ande still believes it was only a fling and that a high profile player would have no room for her so can Cory convince her otherwise …one click and find out. This talented writing duo never disappoint and once again they have given us a book that will captivate throughout the read and stay with us long after the final words have been read. The characters have chemistry and are easy to relate to , the banter is witty and I’m sure you will find plenty to giggle at but it was the determination and believing in a future from Cory that took this book to another level. I loved Eve about this book and I can’t wait for what’s next from the players of the Florida Fury.

What was nice about this book is that you don’t have to read any of the other books in the series to enjoy Cory and Ande’s story. But I hope if that’s true that you’ll want to get to know more of this hockey team. Having this story read to me was a real treat. I have Ms. Edwin in my library but sadly this was the first book I’ve actually listened to. This was the first book for Mr. Smolders. I have a couple of his books in my wish list but I think that list is going to grow. They both did a great job in bringing our characters to life. I’m a fan of the writing duo known as Piper Rayne. I always look forward to seeing what they’re going to come up with next. They always create something that you will never think that you’ve read something like it before. They also create great secondary characters. In this book, that was Trevor. But I’m glad he ended up in the background because I could see him overtaking what should be about Cory and Ande. You may not like hockey as a sport but this story is more than that. It’s a second chance romance with a little suspense. One of the secondary characters happens to be related to Ande and there’s suspense that swirls around her – especially when it involves Ande. Cory also has you guessing how their story is going to end. This is one book that I can see listening to more than once. And maybe have a series marathon – with summer getting closer what a great thing to do when it gets too hot to go outside. I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review.
