About this ebook

Sadie Quinn is at the romance readers’ convention for one reason only: to find editor Jocelyn Dellarivier. Which she could do if she didn’t keep running into the most frustrating, gorgeous man ever. To make matters worse, she just won a contest and a date with him is the prize.

Jake Blaine could kill his boss for rigging the contest, but now he’s face to face with the one woman who could expose his alter ego. He’s not about to leave, but he can’t tell Sadie he’s the editor she’s looking for. But even though he’s playing with fire, Jake can’t seem to stay away. And after a night with the raven-haired beauty, he’s not sure he wants to...

This book was a quick novella. Sadie is a professor attempting to make tenure by interviewing a female erotica editor for her research. Jake has been hiding his identity as an erotica editor to protect his family. This was a cute story. I liked the nods to the typical things you find in romance novels and the quotes weaved throughout the story. There were some inconsistencies in the story though and that took away from the story a bit. *I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.*

This was a really fun read. I really enjoyed the story and Margo Bond Collins created fun and engaging characters. I find interesting how Sadie and Jake are hiding behind something, needing to get tenure and an overbearing brother. While there were times I really wanted to smack Sadie on the forehead and remind her not to miss the forest for the trees, I connected with her instantly. I'm pretty sure I am Sadie a lot of time. I liked her complexity. I do many of the same things, like talking to myself, in my head and out loud. Collins did a great job of creating characters that balanced each other out. Jake also complex, but still easy to relate to. Family is very important, but they also shouldn't hold you back. Although, I am pretty sure, part of the problem was Jake not wanting to take a risk. He was safe in the box he created for himself. But anyone that yummy shouldn't be kept in a box! Overall this was a really fun and lighthearted story that I enjoyed!

This is a fun, sexy read and I loved it. Sadie Quinn is a too cute academic desperate to find the elusive erotica editor Jocelyn Dellarivier. She needs to interview Jocelyn for the book she's hoping to have published and gain her tenure in her professorial position. No matter what Sadie does, the only person she seems to be able to find the amazingly gorgeous assistant Jake Blaine. Not that she's complaining, really, but he can't help her the way Jocelyn could. Or could he?? He does seem to know a lot about what's going on. What exactly are his secrets?? If your looking for a light easy read I would recommend this one.
