I am a woman of a certain age who was once a very active competitive athlete, dealing with health issues that interrupted my athletic endeavors. I have forlornly felt that I could never achieve any modicum of the feeling of fitness again. This book is giving me hope and a second wind. It contains practical and grounded advice applicable to a wide range of ages and fitness abilities, in an easy to read and understand format. This book is couched in language that is geared to the generalist looking to get back in the game and is not bogged down in technical information. Sometimes even a former athlete needs well rounded information that reminds them of the possibilities that are still open and available to them.
