About this ebook

THE GRIPPING FIRST-PERSON ACCOUNT OF BIN LADEN'S EXECUTION

For the first time, read the first-hand account of the planning and execution of the extraordinary mission to kill the terrorist mastermind.

No Easy Day puts readers inside the elite, handpicked twenty-four-man team known as SEAL Team Six as they train for the most important mission of their lives.

From the crash of the Black Hawk helicopter that threatened the mission with disaster, to the radio call confirming their target was dead, the SEAL team raid on bin Laden's secret HQ is recounted in nail-biting second-by-second detail.

Team leader Mark Owen takes readers behind enemy lines with one of the world's most astonishing fighting forces, in the only insider's account of their most spectacular mission.

'No Easy Day amounts to a cinematic account of the raid to kill Bin Laden: you feel as if you're sitting in the Black Hawk as it swoops in' NY Times

This book is a fantastic read and well worth the money. It is perfectly written and told from the author's perspective of the successful mission he was part of to kill Osama Bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda. The book tells you what it's like to be part of the United States Special Forces, not only telling the reader about Mark Owen growing up and eventually becoming a member of DEVGRU; a.k.a SEAL Team Six. It also gives you a glimpse of the role politics plays in carving out such missions, and how it's played out in the political field after it's become public knowledge. I loved reading every minute of it and I'm sure you will too.

This is a truly fantastic read. Its not perfect, I did get a bit lost at times with what was exactly going on, and occasionally i did find my self wanting a bit more detail (the times they were running four miles in, for example). However overall this is an amazing read that kept me gripped from start to finish. I have seen some people say that there are only two chapters on the actuall mission. I dont understand this, as for me about 3 quarters of the book was on the mission (planning and preparation included) or atleast it felt like that. Overall it is a great read and a thoroughly interesting insight into a seals life and what really happened on the UBL mission.

Can tell its written by a squaddie and not a professional writer, but that's what makes it so good as he tells it how it is and goes into first hand details of every mission, even what he ate the morning before the attack
