Really enjoyed these first three books. Nowt overly complex but great story and pace with some good twists. Liked the principal characters - although I wasn't sure who those were until the second book so keeps you on your toes ;)

fast paced, page turning, epic saga that hints at how history tends to repeat itself, through nuanced vocabulary. I've said, 1000's of times, over the years, that "Today's science fiction inevitably becomes tomorrow's science fact."... When you "Crack the spine" on this book, be sure you have time to read it through, else you might find yourself taking a day off work, so as to enjoy the "shadows" on a hot, sunny day... Enjoyl

The interpersonal relationships were convoluted to the point of being a distraction, but overall a pretty good read.
