About this ebook

They were sworn enemies ... or so she thought.

Indiana Nash

In high school, I hated my brother’s best friend.

The fact that he was also my boyfriend’s best friend further complicated things.

Angry and scowling was his default mode around me.

Even before the accident—our hate was mutual.

It’s been more than a decade since I’ve been home, since I’ve seen him.

But my new life in Los Angeles just imploded and I have nowhere else to go.

A long, exhausting bus ride brings me back to my small hometown of Rockhurst.

Jameson Wilde was one of the reasons I dreaded coming back home, so I can hardly believe my eyes when my trembling, cold body collapses into his strong, secure embrace.

He’s my nemesis.

The man who caused me so much pain.

Why does it feel so right in his arms?

Jameson Wilde

I spent my high school years always hovering in the background, angry and tortured as I watched my best friend date the girl I loved.

The pain of being near her and knowing I’d never have her nearly broke me.

Self-preservation led me to shut off all of my feelings completely, until three years ago when I got a phone call and a voice from the past told me I was a father.

My ex-girlfriend claimed she needed a “break” from parenting and dropped Rio off at my doorstep.

Since that moment, my entire life has revolved around my daughter.

She’s all that matters.

Then, out of the blue, Indi Nash—the only girl I’ve ever wanted—shows up at my doorstep.

She’s hurt and hungry and cold, and all the years I spent putting the pieces of my heart back together are shattered as she collapses into my arms.

She’s everything I’ve ever wanted … but she hates me.

I have read all Tess Oliver's books, so I jumped at picking this up as soon as I heard about it! Once again we get a great storyline with characters that are easy to become invested in. The single dad trope is a favorite of mine and I devoured this one. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series!
