Jess takes a transfer to the LA office of the PIA, but she isn’t there to do her job, but to betray them, to keep her brother Darnell, but more importantly, his daughter Maddie, alive. But what she doesn’t realise is that the organisation is led by two brothers, Louis and Draven Lestant, who are in fact the last of the Chameleon demon race. Darnell and Maddie are brought into the mix, to convince her to continue to betray her true employer, PIA, but also Dante his brother and more.

Dante and Jess must navigate a path carved out of betrayals and lies to find their HEA. This book paled a little by comparison to book 1 and I think part of it was the Insta sexy times for our main characters. Valen's wooing of Laura was a little more believable than these two jumping each other so quickly. However, Dante was still a good hero and he helped turn the page for the introduction of next demon hunks. The best part of this book was it really developed the bad guys.

We have suspense, betrayl by family, love. Follow Jessica and Dante's story, Jessica is to spy on Dante and then be used. Dante has no feelings, but something about Jessica drags him to her. What will Dante do to have her? What will Jessica do with the betrayl her family wants?. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
