About this ebook

Enjoy this steamy and emotional Protector Romance with a tortured former Special Forces hero, a woman on the run, and an adorable German Shepherd by award-winning military romance author Patricia D. Eddy.

Jackson Richards

val·orgreat bravery in the face of danger, especially in battle

Once, I had it in spades. As a member of the United States Special Forces, I fought alongside the bravest and most capable men I've ever known.

Until one mistake landed us in Hell.

For six months, I fought. Until our captors learned the full extent of my skills, and my fate was sealed.

Tortured and broken in conditions that made Hell look like a five-star resort, I died, and Isaad was born. Shaped into a weapon for the wrong side. I forgot who I was. Who I was meant to be.

Until my captor imprisoned a woman with powerful friends.

Helping her escape reminds me of the man I used to be. Now, I'll fight. For myself. For the friends I thought I lost in Hell. And for Cara. She has a secret I can't ignore, but she soothes my demons. My pain. She can help me find myself again.

If I'm strong enough, I can leave Isaad behind. Maybe then, I can take back my true name.

Ripper.

WARNING: This book contains scenes of torture and implied sexual violence that may be disturbing to sensitive readers.

Oh, this was just as gut-wrenching as the previous books, if not more. Jackson goes through so much and I loved it when he finally remembers and his brothers bring him home. I cried a little at what he had experienced. The connection he has with Caro though is undeniable and I could see how their experiences could draw them together.

Didn't think the author could top the previous book but she did.
