This is book four of the Montana Rescue series, I have only read the prequel and this one and had no issues keeping up on what was going on. It is a series though and written like one, you will have some unfinished things to look forward to in the next book. I do feel I probably missed out on some important information in the series but still enjoyed this read. Ian Shaw is a handsome, wealthy man. He is a take charge kind of guy. So when things fall apart and he truly only has God to turn to, you wonder if he actually will. Sierra Rose is a very organized, beautiful woman. When put to a challenge she meets it head on. Yet she must rely on more than her own strength to face the storms ahead. This book is full of mystery, suspense and since it is a series some question get answered from previous book, which I would assume left you with a little cliff hanger at the end of those books. I look forward to reading more from this series, and maybe going back to read those I missed.

Ms Warren has a way of grasping your attention from the moment you read the first line of her stories. This one not only does that, but keeps you engaged all the way to the end. Interestingly, different from the previous books, we don’t spend much time in Montana, but rather in the Caribbean on a yacht. We finally get a story for Ian and Sierra. These two have been great secondary characters in previous books. He is a billionaire who has moved to Montana and is instrumental in getting the PEAK Rescue Team started . SIerra use to be his assistant, but now is the office manager for the PEAK Team. They have been in love with each other, but neither feels good enough for the other, and trust has been an issue between them. Besides, this love has never been declared. Ian and Sierra are both strong characters and are “fixers”. When they see a problem they take over to resolve . When someone is in trouble , they try to help. Sometimes, too much. In addition to an engaging plot, and complex main characters, the author also has sub-plots with characters we have come to love, Jesse, and Pete as well as Ty. The story is full of suspense, romance, adventure, and faith or lack thereof. In the story the author reminds us that love is not to be earned, but to be given. That with faith in God, we find peace, and that forgiveness is going to be required frequently. We are humans and mistakes are made. Kudos to Ms Warren for another wonderful story. Looking forward to what else she has in store for us. I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Putting this book down became a chore. Something I was not looking forward to, and actually dreading. I wasn’t even finished with this story and was already dying to read the next one. But I also wanted to savor each page and not finish too fast. If you love books like me you totally get what I’m saying. Everything I’ve read by Susan May Warren makes me feel this way. If you have read any of the other books in the Montana Rescue series you couldn’t help but be dying for this book to come out. We were tortured hoping and praying for Ian and Sierras story to be told. There was a lot to live up to making us wait so long, and Warren did not disappoint. If you have yet to read any of them, you might as well go get them all now. That being said, this book is also great as a stand alone novel. Sierra loves every member of the Peak Rescue Team. In a sense they have all become her family. When the team loses their helicopter, the key to most of their rescues, she knows she must do everything in her power to fix it. Ian offering his yacht seems like the perfect way to woo some of his rich friends into writing a big check. Ian coming along was not part of her plan, and being around him isn’t easy. They used to work so good together, but secrets and obsessions have pushed them apart. Will another tragedy force them to put aside the past? Or will it only intensify the hurt between them? I honestly can’t recommend this book enough. I was kept on the edge of my seat worried about what was going to happen next. Crossing my fingers that the team made the rescue in time. Anyone who enjoys contemporary and romantic suspense will fall in love just as I keep doing. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was in no way forced to post a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.
