This is book 3 in the Brides of Seattle series. It could be read as a stand alone, since I have not read the first two and had no trouble keeping up with what was going on, however I feel I missed out on much of the history behind the characters in this one. So I would recommend you reading the first two, Steadfast Heart and Refining Fire first. Plus if they are as good as this one you will not be disappointed. Abrianna Cunningham is quite the character, She seems to always be getting into trouble. Her heart is in the right place yet she does not always think of the consequences of her actions. She has discover she is in love with her best friend, Wade Ackerman, this is a fear she must also face. While recovering from the Seattle fires she must also fight her hardest battle yet. Will her ,act now think later, personality get her into more trouble than she can get out of? Wade Ackerman knows he is the one for Abrianna. He loves her independent ways and seems to be a balance for her. When circumstances comes and he finds himself unable to help her, will he be able to trust the decisions she is making. What is she trying to do anyway? I love the writing style of Tracie Peterson, the comedy, yet difficult circumstances will keep you reading. Her characters are well developed and have personalities all their own. I also love the way Wad finds to silence Abrianna. I was given a copy of this novel from net galley for my honest opinion.
