This is the start of a new series, but we meet Dillion in the Fractured Connections series and he is such a great character that he needed his own story. Dillion is in college and he was not expecting Elise to enter his life and change everything. This is such a sweet love story but there are lots of big emotions that need to be dealt with. There are lots of great new characters in this book as well as lots that we already love. The story is steamy and emotional and I can't wait for the next book.

This was a great book and a really strong start to her new series. This series carries on from the Fractured Connections series and we now get youngest brother Dillion’s story. Dillon heads off to a new college, moving away from his brothers and into campus living. He is only 20 and not looking for his forever, although he has helped each of his brothers on their journey to finding love... but sometimes you can’t control when you meet the one. This series is set with a younger crowd, not yet 21 or able to drink, so a slightly sweeter, cleaner read, but still all the excitement, romance and drama you would expect and have come to love in a Carrie Ann Ryan book. This is a great book and I look forward to more in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book

4 star review My One Night (On My Own #1) by Carrie Ann Ryan I was excited when I heard that Carrie Ann Ryan had a new series starting and I couldn’t wait to dive in the My One Night. I was drawn into the story that Ms. Ryan wove about Dillon Connolly and Elise Hoover. I am not a huge fan of the new adult genre but I found this book to be well written with characters who are easy to relate too. Meeting at a frat party Dillon and Elise find themselves having a one night stand. However we all know that plans don’t always work out like that and they both struggle to forget one another.The chemistry between them is intense and too hard to resist and when they come back together they know that they may have found “the one”. When Dillon’s past comes back to haunt him and Elise suffers a devastating loss this part of the book was extremely emotional and had my heart breaking for them. Sometimes it takes a life changing event to make you realize what and who is important. Their path to happiness will be full of bumps but if they can persevere they will find a lifetime of happiness and love together.
