A Merry Texan Christmas (Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge, #3) by Nicole Flockton was a fun 5 star read and once I started I couldn’t put it down. Trey has retired from baseball and moved back to town. He has bought a bookstore and to get attention he decorates the storefront for Christmas. In doing this he has caused some hard feelings from Maggie. Maggie is the school librarian and she loves Christmas. Her biggest joy is decorating all the store fronts. On her way to work she gets a shocker when she sees a crowd in front of the bookstore. She discovers that her high school crush Trey is back in town and is now her biggest competition for storefront decorating. Trey is immediately drawn to Maggie, they both have the same love for Christmas and they have a connection. Maggie brushes the connection off thinking it’s nothing but her crush showing. As they spend more time together she starts to see more in Trey. Can they have more together? Will Trey reconnect with his family? Overall this was a great read. There were several things going on in Trey’s life along with pursuing Maggie. Their connection was great and you could feel the connection coming off the pages. Welcome to Christmas in Sweet Ridge, Texas! The last of the three Prentice Brothers is finally home and no he is not playing ball either. The last we saw Trey Prentice he was playing big-league baseball and lending his "pretty face" to his brother's fine wine for its launch. Now Trey is home and so our of character he has bought BlueBonnet Books and is giving hometown favorite, librarian Maggie Watson a run for her as a Christmas decorating elf. Even if he did not mean to, his beautiful Christmas window display put a kink in Maggie's Christmas cheer as she is usually the one who does all the windows in Sweet Ridge and is known as Miss Christmas. Course it doesn't hurt that when Trey touches Maggie sparks fly either and Oh do they every jump between these two spirited elves. I loved catching up with some of the characters from past books in Sweet Ridge and yes this book was so much fun to read as well. I enjoyed reading about the decorations and just could picture it all and boy it has me itching to pull out my tree already.

This is the third book about the Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge Texas and we finally get Trey's story. Like all the others in the series it is a wonderful sweet romance about finding the one for you even if it isn;t who you think it would be Trey has returned home to Sweet springs after ending his baseball career and has opened up a book shop he gave up a career that was still growing strong but he needed time to repair his relationship with his family but his baseball rep isn't wanting to give up so easily and is continually phoning him wanting him to come back to the Major league. Maggie Watson is a local Shop owner who really likes to get into the spirit of Christmas from the first of December on wards she wears a different Christmas themed outfit and even matches her dog to her clothes. The connection between these two is growing as they spend time together and Trey thinks that something may grow between them. Things are finally looking good for him with him and his family and him and Maggie but that rep won't give up and thinks he is just wanting more money when a contract that would make him for life arrives what decision will he make The life he has now or the life he had You will have to read to see
