About this ebook

When the merman rescues a woman anchored to the bottom of the sea, he’s sure his dreams have come true.

Welcome to the underwater world of Atlantes!

When Demon, a merman shapeshifter tasked with patrolling the ocean for humans in distress, comes across a woman anchored to the bottom of the sea, he’s sure his dreams have come true. After all, she’s stunning, single, and makes his body burn with need. She’s also impetuous, being hunted by his enemies, and seriously conflicted on whether or not he’s a good guy.

It’s his duty to not only protect her, but to win her heart—because this lonely merman is sure she’s the one for him. Now he just needs to convince her of as much.

#5 in the Lords of the Abyss series. Perhaps not quite as good as some of her other books this was still an enjoyable read.. Demon is a lonely merman and when he finds Victoria anchored at the bottom of the ocean he thinks his dreams have come true. However he must convince her that he is the (mer)man for her. Plenty of action keeps the story flowing. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Making Waves, the 5th book in Pillow’s Lords of the Abyss series, is a fun undersea adventure that builds on and deepens the mythos of the series, and definitely is best enjoyed by those who have read other series novels. It can be read by newbies, I’d say, but there is something of a learning curve to wrapping your head around the story. For returning readers… Making Waves is an eventful romance that opens up all sorts of new aspects the undersea continent and those who are cursed to live there. Like others in the series, there’s a lot of story going on with some hot sex and insta-love elements and a few old-fashioned hero bits tucked away. The romance itself is good, but somewhat lost against the events going on in the story. There’s a nice HEA to round things off, but the real payoff for this story is in how it advances the bigger series story questions. I enjoyed the read, and the revelations, and look forward to where Pillow takes the story next. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

When Demon, a merman shapeshifter tasked with patrolling the ocean for humans in distress, comes across a woman anchored to the bottom of the sea, he feels duty bound to protect her especially as she is being hunted by his enemies. This was an OK read as I did not enjoy it as much as the previous ones in the series. I was also shorter than the others at about half the length of the first book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
