May 2020 and I blindly selected this book to read. Not a romance novel but one about survival in a pandemic. I had trouble pulling away from the reading. Really appropriate reading for this time if the reader is not person to panic. I don't panic. Beautifully written with good detail.

I'm an old woman and I cried as this book ended. I grew to love the
characters and suffered when they suffered. The story of life and death and
reality, and being forced slowly to look at each of them in detail.

Carla Buckley lives in Chapel Hill, NC, with her husband, an environmental scientist, and their three children.
