Perfect ending to the series - assuming it's the end. AX2/Jacob's journey to recovering his humanity is deftly handled by Nora Ash - as is his support for Adde to heal, grow and trust again. Ohh the scene where Jacob works out why Addie is the way she is - it's so beautiful and emotional and raw. Very quick read - as this is effectively a serial novella - I read it in one evening and went to sleep content in their story. Thanks Nora - for a great adventure!. I really enjoyed the storyline and characters! The story behind the US and alphas ended abruptly. It just needed more detail about how the alphas helped fix the democracy. Maybe the "fated" "mate" concept is explained further in the 1st alpha series but it wasn't fully explained in this series. Though I do like the concept!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Can’t say I enjoyed this last book in the Protector series. I found that a lot of the book was Addie feeling sorry for herself and Jacob (AX2) consoling her. I wish that there was more in depth writing on AX2’s processing of past harm caused by Addie instead of the narrative that all is forgiven just because of the mate bond. I had hoped Addie’s characterization would improve on this book but that was not to be. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
