Zero’s character finally comes to life in this newest release that doesn’t disappoint. I’ve been fascinated by Zero every since his character was introduced. His behind scene gruffness is needed in his line of work and now he has a career decision to make. One night is all it takes for Morgan’s life to change and when Zero enters it, it brings a complication that she didn’t expect. This is the fifth story in the "Scarred Hearts" series and can be enjoyed as a stand alone read. We first got a glimpse of Zero in the previous story called "Griffin". I was extremely happy that we get to read Zero's story! Zero was not very likable in Griffin. He hides behind a keyboard and does not get out. He also comes off as closed, uncaring and cold but .... This year, that is, but nonetheless this book had all the feels for a romantic suspense book. West does an excellent job of sharing just enough information with each of the characters that leaves you wanting more. I loved Zero because of everything he’s been through and still manages to forge ahead. Morgan is suspicious of everyone - with good reason. They both deserve a happily ever after. This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. However this book is best enjoyed by
