About this ebook

Kill It in The Air is a contemporary poetry that voices the narrative of the less powerful side in a relationship, the one being abandoned, rejected, denied, and forgotten, by projecting power dynamics in relationships due to gender, age, and race. The narrator goes through a heartbreaking journey of exposing herself to being powerless, isolated, helpless, and vulnerable. While constantly struggling with hope of love, of living, and of future; the narrator finds herself at the edge of a new journey to discover her identity and destiny independent of other people. The poetry celebrates confronting pain and loss, contemplating self and identity, rediscovering hope, and being brave to keep loving (life, oneself, and others) in a time where indifference and numbness to feelings can be beneficial, cleaner, and easier. This confessional poetry book is a cry out of a darkness void, where everything is constantly being absorbed, buried, and erased.
