O tej e-knjigi

A new translation into modern American English of Goethe and Schiller's joint 1797 poem Xenien. This edition contains an Afterword by the Translator, a Timeline of Goethe’s Life & Works and a Glossary of Philosophic Terminology used by Goethe. In his 1797 work "Xenia," Goethe and Schiller delve into the realm of epigrams and social commentary. With a masterful command of language and incisive wit, he presents a collection of poetic verses that offer satirical insights into human nature, societal conventions, and the foibles of contemporary culture. Through advanced vocabulary and a keen eye for detail, Goethe exposes the hypocrisies and contradictions of his time, provoking critical reflection and challenging prevailing norms.
