It was abridged by Denis Kelly (with Churchill’s approval) of the following volumes composed by Churchill: The Gathering Storm, The Finest Hour, The Grand Alliance, The Hinge of Fate, Closing the Ring, and Triumph and Tragedy. This edition also features Churchill’s epilogue now published in book form for the first time.
