"We" is a dystopian novel written by Yevgeny Zamyatin in 1920-1921. It depicts a totalitarian state called the One State, where citizens are closely monitored and referred to by numbers. "We" influenced other dystopian works such as Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" and George Orwell's "Nineteen Eighty-Four."
