There are second chances... Start with an accident, bullet holes in the car and amnesia and you have a page-turner you will not set down! Add to the intrigue with a bag full of money and your imagination goes in a million directions. Lawson Avery is a deputy that is hanging up his badge to be a cowboy, running the family ranch. Ashlee, a former fiancé, appears to be the unlikely victim found in the car - unlikely because she was the law abiding twin. Now if it was her sister Bree, that would explain a lot. After becoming a target in multiple instances, Ashlee begins to wish she had her memory back. Was it possible she is blocking her recall because she believes her twin is badly hurt or dead? The author has done a fabulous job of keeping you on the edge of your seat culminating in a totally unexpected ending. I highly recommend this for an afternoon of enjoyment! Texas Twin Abduction by Virginia Vaughan is the first book in the Cowboy Lawmen series and definitely worth reading if you love inspirational suspenseful romances with cowboy lawmen as the heroes. Ashlee Taylor has no idea why she is waking up in a car that has been wrecked and shot full of bullets and is being told by the deputy who has found her that she is his ex-fiancee. She has no memory of her past or what has happened, but something tells her the one person she can trust to help her find her sister and find out who is hunting her is Lawson Avery. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books in this wonderful series! I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

When Ashlee wakes up in a hospital bed, she can't remember anything. All she knows is that the handsome lawman at her bedside says she was once his fiance. Lawson has so many mixed feelings after seeing his ex fiancee after so many years, especially when he finds her at the roadside in a bullet ridden car. Since she has amnesia, he feels like it is a clean slate for them to have a fresh start without the past hanging over their heads. He also knows protecting her is the one last thing he will do as an officer of the law before he goes back to ranching, where his heart has always been. Danger follows them everywhere and many interesting conversations and situations happen during the course of Ashlee regaining her memory. Will the old flames end up together again or is there change in the wind? I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys inspirational love stores with a message of forgiveness. I received an ARC of this ebook from the author. All opinions are my own.
