About this ebook

“I don’t want you, little one. I need you. I crave you. My life means nothing without you, but I don’t deserve you.” - Quasim

Ezmira

As much as she loves dancing with her troupe, Ezmira no longer finds joy in traveling the universe. She longs for a place to call home, so despite the opulence surrounding her as they perform at the Raptyre palace, she escapes into the garden for a moment alone.

When a gravelly voice emerges from the darkness, she’s drawn to the male hiding in the shadows, and even when he kidnaps her, she doesn’t fear him like she should.

He demands she dance for him, and when she does, the look of rapture on his scarred face steals her heart. She sees beyond his savaged flesh to the wounded soul underneath and wants nothing more than to love him.

Until her heat hits and she ruins everything by taking too much.

Quasim

Broken from his enemy’s cruelty, Quasim hides away in the most dangerous and decrepit city in the known universe until he’s called home to his best friend’s coronation ceremony. When the beauty on stage carries away his agony with her lithe grace, he longs to watch her dance every day for the rest of his life.

So when he overhears a group of alphas planning to hurt her in the garden, he overreacts and whisks her away to the only place he knows she’s safe. His den.

Until she goes into heat and proves he’s the biggest danger of all.

This is a retelling of a popular fairy-tale story and a re-release. Although, this fairy-tale is not one I'm crazy about, this retelling is definitely one I'm liking a whole lot better. I was rather intrigued with the our Alpha hero, Quasim, when he was mentioned in the previous books in the series. Our Omega heroine, Ezmira definitely has an interesting life. She found a way around her dynamic with other like minded people who won't do anything they aren't willing to get into. And although our heroine initially needed the saving, I liked that she was the one doing the saving in the end. All in all, a win-win situation. Definitely a great addition to this series and worth the read, whether you are in it for the fairy-tale retelling or you are an OV fan.

Ezmira loves to dance but lately she's been thinking about giving it up. It just doesn't make her feel alive anymore. She wants to quit traveling and just relax. She wants a home. Stepping outside to for some fresh air, she could never have imagined what was in store for her. Quasim was know for his control but when he sees the small female dance, it does something to him. She brings him peace from his torment. When he hears some males talking about doing her harm as they look for her, he can't leave her to that. So he takes her. He will take care of her and she will dance for him. His prize. At first, she just wants to escape him, but as they spend time together she sees who he really is and not what he looks like on the outside. He scents her but thinks there's no way that she could ever want a broken Alpha like him. Soon closeness and natural dynamics sweep them up in its swirling passion. Can he ever let her go now, even though everything in him tells him it's the right thing to

I really loved this book! The blurb caught my attention, and I enjoyed how the author put an alien twist on a classic fairytale. It's perfect for adults who still have a soft spot for fairy tales but want something fresh with aliens as the main characters. Plus, the story wraps up on a cheerful note with Quasim(odo) and Ezmira (Esmeralda) finding their happily ever after! The beginning felt a bit dark, but it definitely picked up and ended on a positive high!.
