What a hot, steamy and wonderful romance story Erika Wilde wrote with Turning Up the Heat. Radio personality Kerri McCree has seen the damage caused to a woman being dependent on a man, especially from an abusive one. Her job as a nighttime talk radio host allows her to talk about all aspects of sex, which she loves to do, even though she is not a sex expert. Ian Carlisle had a rough childhood but was fortunate to be treated as a member of the Winslow family while he dated their daughter and after her death. Lonely and at loose ends he begins to listen to the Heat Waves, Kerri’s radio show, calling in to discuss and challenge the host. These two had a definite on air chemistry and Ian wanted to take it off the air, dating Kerri, showing her what dating a real man could be like. Kerri realized that she and Ian shared more than just a “hot, sizzling chemistry … giving their relationship a depth she’d never anticipated.” I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. Ms. Wilde wrote wove a wonderful story, with desire, fear, anxiety, love, as well some steamy, hot sex. She drew me in and did not let go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Brave, bold and sexy. Erika Wilde goes there. She tackles subjects that not many dare to touch, but all dare to experience. Turning Up the Heat is the latest in a long line of taboo, yet entertaining novels. A character like Kerri could have only been written by an author like Ms. Wilde. She personifies brash and splash, but behind the shock value lies an insecure woman. Ian is everything, Kerri displays to the world, but is afraid of becoming. Turning Up the Heat hits on some serious issues while tempting with humorous dialogue and irresistible characters. Through characters like Ian and Kerri, Ms. Wilde is saying it's okay to be a little different as long as we're true to ourselves.

If you're looking for a book that has a super sexy build up and a big payoff, this is it! I absolutely loved this story! Ian and Kerri had so much chemistry (sexual and otherwise) that I was hooked. It kept me enthralled in the story line and made me excited to watch them get their happily ever after. The only thing that I wished the ending had lasted a little longer. ;) Happy reading!!
