A lover of action-packed thrillers, Sean began writing the Ryan Lock series after undergoing an intensive three-week bodyguard training course as part of the research for a TV drama he was developing.
The first book in the series, Lockdown, sold for over half a million dollars and his career, and life, took a dramatic turn.
Despite surgery to amputate his left leg above the knee when he was seventeen-years-old, he is known for his hands-on research, which has taken everywhere from Pelican Bay Supermax prison in California to the tunnels under the Las Vegas Strip.
