Overall.. I found the book to be hard to put down but in a sick way. The main characters were well thought out and I loved them but the plot was very sick to me but at the same time I couldn't put it down. I love this auther, I love all her books. This one however, I didn't like as much. I had a sick feeling as I read it but had to know how it ended for the characters sake.. I would, 10 out of 10, would recommend Never Knowing but her. But not this one.

I don't even know where to begin. I have been a fan of Chevy Stevens since Still Missing. I have never missed a book, and I have loved them all, but this novel is on a totally new level. There are other reviews with brief summaries so I won't go there, but this novel contains the entire spectrum of what a family can experience, from the deepest love and loyalty to the most crushing abandonment and abuse. It is about both pain and survival. It is drama, mystery, love, hate, sacrifice, coming of age, and learning to live a life that you never dreamed you could. It is a novel for everyone, not just women. You will never regret ordering this book today, but you will lose sleep because you won't be able to put it down. It will stay with you long after the last page. I'm still in awe. Bravo!

This book was very disturbing. But I couldn't not finish it. I did love the characters, and the plot, until about halfway through. It went from believable to very unrealistic in my opinion. But it did have me in tears at the end.
