I loved this second book in the series and can't wait for the next book! Both Clara and Alaric grow and overcome what they assumed about the other. The vampire curse heats up on the romance and these two really start to find their footing as friends. There's more emotional development between the characters and some new characters introduced that promise to bring interesting complications to the overall story. I'm not sure what the other reviews are talking about, because I got a complete book that starts right where the first left off. I can't wait to see what happens next!

This is a great continuation of the first book. We get to see more sides to Clara and Alaric and find out more about the subtle side of vampire politics. It ends leading us into the third book and the start of a whole other set of obstacles for the characters to go through.
