Andrew Rawson
The overall story was good. However, the author's writing style really suffers from over explanation. The book is already on the short side, but once you add in the redundant explanations, it really makes me feel like the price per page is unjustified. Also, the last side story in the book felt like a last minute addition, with a boring plot, badly written dialogue, and flat characters. I felt that it actually detracted from the novel as a whole, only serving to mildly inflate the page count.

It's a good book and all but it feels incredibly short. Rennt saves city, learns a couple things but honestly it's just so short. Still a good read but I finished it in like 3 hours

A fair bit shorter than I'd have liked, tbh it feels like it got cut off, not like it's on a cliffhanger or whatever, but I still found it highly enjoyable and I can't wait for the next book.
