Going in I thought this book sounded great and I looked forward to reading it. Sadly, I found myself underwhelmed. The story did have its highs and lows. I liked Laila well enough, but I honestly wasn't a James fan and while this couple got plenty steamy, I didn't get much of a connection between them.
