The Rebound

This was such a sweet read about two people who’ve always known each other but have been in different places throughout their lives. And now is the perfect time and they’re suddenly seeing each other in a new light. Ken and Madeline are what you’d like to think happens in real life. And that’s exactly how this author has created these characters. They are not perfect or flawless, they are real and down to earth. Awkward at times, excitable, nervous, and prone to make decisions based on past experiences. I enjoyed watching Madeline grow and heal. It helped that Ken made some pretty smart decisions of his own. Together, they sizzled even as they had their moments of uncertainty. Having Ken’s point of view along with Madeline’s made me really enjoy this one all the more! The conflict between them was addressed as adults, which I appreciated. This is a fast read and although it’s second in the series, it can be read as a stand alone.
