Keeps up the suspense Madison, newly hired and overqualified CSI, and Silas, semi downtrodden police detective, are upset after a press conference was held indicating that this is the work of a copycat, not the same serial killer. As the story progresses a barrage of anger hits them both, a new avenue is discovered, and a kick in the pants could trigger an avalanche of theories for them to pursue. W.L. Knightly keeps up the suspense in The past Deceit while stringing everyone along for the ride. The rest of the series still has a lot to uncover. I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Silas and Madison are getting closer to putting the clues together but the Ghost stopped killing for awhile. The danger is more apparent when Silas gets attacked and then they go after Madison. Another murder occurs but the Ghost left them an unforgettable gift. This series is filled with suspense, mystery, drama, secrets and danger. This does end with another unexpected cliffhanger. I'm looking forward to reading the next book to find out what happens.

My head is still spinning from that ending, and everything before that kind of gets lost in the light of its significance. Wow. So many new pieces of the puzzle are introduced in this book, yet I still don’t know what it is that we’re being shown. And with every answer Silas and Madison turn up, it feels like a dozen new questions pop up in response. It may not be the most appropriate saying for this story, but I’m dying to get my hands on the next book. I NEED to know more. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
