Over the past 40 years, countries throughout the world have similarly adopted human rights related to environmental governance and protection in national constitutions. Joshua C. Gellers is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of North Florida and Fulbright Scholar to Sri Lanka. His work focuses on environmental rights and sustainable development.
