About the author

Amelia Earhart (1897-1937?) was an American pilot and the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic. She inspired many female pilots and established the Ninety-Nines organization to help provide mentoring and networking opportunities. Over her life, she published a number of books including 20 Hrs., 40 Min., The Fun of It and Last Night. She mysteriously disappeared on a flight in 1937.
