About this ebook

Beauty and the Beast meets Taming of the Shrew in this laugh-out-loud and heartfelt Regency romance...

Lord Nathaniel Harte, the disagreeable Duke of Beswick, spends his days smashing porcelain, antagonizing his servants, and snarling at anyone who gets too close. With a ruined face like his, it's hard to like much about the world. Especially smart-mouthed harpiesā€”with lips better suited to kissing than speakingā€”who brave his castle with indecent proposals.

But Lady Astrid Everleigh will stop at nothing to see her younger sister safe from a notorious scoundrel, even if it means offering herself up on a silver platter to the forbidding Beast of Beswick himself. And by offer, she means what no highborn lady of sound and sensible mind would ever dream ofā€”a tender of marriage with her as his bride.

Each book in the Regency Rogues series is STANDALONE:

Not bad but I think it could have been better. I started losing interest towards the end. (The Aunt sleeping with servants and then making detailed needlepoint artworks of their junk and THEN gifting it to them felt like such a wild and bizarre curveball that added absolutely nothing and came completely out of left field and I think that was the point where I felt like I was forcing myself to finish the rest of the book.) For our MCs-- The progression of Thane and Astrid's relationship felt very repetitive: he is grappling with his trauma and Astrid is constantly coaxing/seducing him over and over until he finally accepts their love. The resolution and ending felt very quick, as did Isobel's character development, which mostly all happened out of view. I think one read-through is enough for me. Fine for a quick read and I guess I would recommend it for anyone who likes retellings and/or Beauty and the Beast. But, I do feel like this had a lot more potential.

4/5 šŸ¦„ This book was hottttt šŸ”„Lady Astrid suffers from a ruined reputation started by a man she rejected during her first season. Now that he has returned, this time seeking the hand of her 16 year old sister, she seeks the protection and guardianship of the so-called Beast of Beswick, a man flayed with bayoneted after a deserter left his men exposed in battle leaving him scarred brutally. When it becomes clear that the reputation-ruined and the deserter are the same man, The Beast commits to what he never thought heā€™d doā€”marriage! This book was very spicy! The Beast aka Thane is a dirty dirty man but oh so charming! Lady Astrid is loyal and fierce when it comes to those she loves. Together they make a great team and have chemistry off the charts. This book is is filthyā€”absolutely filthy, I say! There is a heavy emphasis on feminism and double standards at the time. So if you love sexy books with feminist leanings, this is the book for you! It might be a little heavy handed in both areas, but still super fun and enjoyable! Gotta love a beauty and the beast romance!

Wow! Talk about an incredible book, this is it! Witty, romantic, sensual, dramatic, but mostly, spellbinding. I could not put it down. It is the story of Astrid, a beautiful young lady who will do anything to protect her sister, even marry the Beast of Beswick. Thane, the Beast of Beswick, is an ex-soldier who is severely scarred both inside and out. He is known for being a beast but Astrid will face him to protect her sister. The chemistry between these two is incredible. I loved all of the supporting characters in the book. If you love a good romance with some heat to it, definitely read this book! But not if you have to go to work the next day!
