This book is absolutely amazing. Every emotion this woman experinced jumps from each page. Her style of writing is refreshing and gripped me completely. Tara Westover is an inspiration, especially to those who think they can't remake themesleves because this lady is proof of that. I do hope in future she will bring another book out. I wanted to know more about her family and her life and was sad that the book came to an end. Amazing and very insightful book.

Absolutely brilliant. Heard Tara speak in an interview on an Irish radio station I don't usually listen to and her voice just made me want to know her story. Finished the ebook in a few days and the saying that truth is sometimes stranger than fiction is entirely apt. You are transported into Bucks Peak and everywhere else Tara is and I hope she writes more books.

An insight into a family, a religion, a way of life far, far removed from my own. The overwhelming sense I get from reading this book, is that of the struggle of life, and of living. To human is a tough job.

About the author
Tara Westover was born in rural Idaho. She studied history at Brigham Young University and upon graduation was awarded a Gates Cambridge Scholarship. She received an MPhil in intellectual history from Trinity College, Cambridge in 2009, and a PhD in the same subject in 2014.
