This rich guy and his friend show up, one’s drunk as a skunk, the other has an accent matching mine. I wonder why this stranger is here, dressed to kill, hanging with the usual vagrants that patronize my fifty-dollar-a-night motel. When he leaves his wallet here by mistake, I end up learning a whole lot more about this Terence Daniels fellow than I ever dreamed. Unfortunately, he doesn’t shed all the light, but when Ruby, his former lover, does, I realize why he kept mum…but I’m not about to keep my mouth shut.

I don’t trust her to keep my wallet safe, or to send it via courier, so I drive, from Louisiana to Dallas, again, to get it. In the few minutes that I talk to her, this time sober, I wish like hell that I didn’t make the mistakes that I did. Before I know it, I’m emotionally involved with this woman, who runs a dilapidated motel, but has so much more promise. And days later, her world falls apart. Kobie is guarded, rightfully so, although what I offer her makes her eyes twinkle.

But can what I’ve given her be the glue that holds us together? Or will Ruby’s fate darken Kobie’s future…

This is book four in The Big Heart, Small Town Address Series and it is Kobie and Terence's story and it is definitely a must read. Movie owns and runs the hotel after her parents died and she was struggling financially as she went into a business venture and lost all her money as it turned out to be a scam and when a man named Terence Daniels left his wallet in one of the motel room's Movie phoned him to let him know that she would keep it safe as he wanted to come and collect it personally. Terence is a wealthy man and when he goes back to fetch his wallet he is pleased and so surprised to find it intact and with everything in there but Terence was shocked of his reaction to Kobie and the instant connection that he feels when he is with her and the chemistry that sizzles between them but they are from different walks of life and also world's apart for anything permanent to happen to them but that doesn't stop Terence from wanting Kobie as she is unlike any other women that he has come across as she is not only stubborn and beautiful but she has strong values and walls that are so high that he will have to be patient if he wants a chance to be with her. I absolutely loved this book and I couldn't put it down as it was a real page turner and the characters and storyline pulled you in and kept your attention throughout and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. Kobie inherited her parents run-down motel. Terence is also on his own with plenty of baggage. He and a friend are drunk and staying there one night, leaving his wallet behind. She notifies him and he drives back to get it, meeting her. When things go even worse, the two support and show that caring can change your life, no matter your baggage. The characters are well developed. The storyline has the drama, secrets, passion, twists, and much more that keep the pages turning. Loved their quirks and banter as they move through their feelings. I enjoyed this book. The story was fun and the chemistry sultry. This book offers up plenty of big feels as this couple's romance unfolds. Tension, sparks and drama mix with intense emotion, turmoil, heat and heart to create and engaging read that had me invested and highly entertained.
