About the author

Stephen Smith was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1945. He majored in English at Brooklyn College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1967. Years later he returned to his alma mater to earn a Masters Degree in English. Mr. Smith was a teacher of English in high school for thirty-two years. He also did research for The Encyclopaedia Judaica Yearbook from 1978 to 1994. He retired from his teaching duties in 2000 and has been pursuing his interest in writing.
