If you love independent heroines and heroes willing to go to the ends of the earth for them, you'll love this series! Below is a review of one of the books to give you an idea of what’s in this series. Titles included are: 1. No Ordinary Duke 2. More than a Rogue 3. Her Seafaring Scoundrel *** Reviewing “MORE THAN A ROGUE (#2)” *** Emily Howard already resigned herself to being a spinster, having no expectations of marriage. Griffin Crawford did not want to marry because would soon be leaving England for his business pursuits. He had come back because his father died and his brother Caleb became the Duke of Camberly. But the sons were not all that close after their 10-year absence from each other when they had left to get away from their father, so Griffin was preparing to leave again. Griffin remained long enough to attend a ball at his brother’s estate first, and there he met up with Emily who had come to honor her friend, Mary, who had married Caleb. The one thing Emily really would have liked to experience was a kiss, so she and Mary had conspired to make that happen and satisfy her curiosity. Griffin saw her go outside with a man and hurried after to stop what looked like a kiss about to happen, which would not have been proper. Instead of being grateful for Griffin’s timely interruption, Emily was upset at his interference! Knowing she had never been kissed, he told her kisses were overrated – but she wanted her first kiss to matter, and he had wanted to kiss her for some time, so he did! Unfortunately for both of them, her family caught them in the act. Even though the kiss had been chaste, they demanded he marry her, as would be proper. But she couldn’t do that to him, knowing he had made other plans for his future. How can she fix this problem? Would she agree to the marriage? Or would she run away and take the decision away from the honorable gentleman? I loved this book! It has so much more excitement to come, so be sure to grab your copy and see how this sticky situation resolves! You’ll love the characters, and the story line is absolutely charming! You truly will not want to miss this one! And then enjoy the other two books if you haven’t already! All are wonderful stories!

Sophie Barnes brings us a delightful, well written collection of three stories that woo your heart in “ The Crawfords Series”. The story of triplet spares, (Caleb, Griffin and Devlin) of the Duke of Camberly, a strict, overbearing and unloving father. The three brothers winter separate ways in their 20s to choose their own path rather than the path their father chose for them. Their father and eldest brother have died and now Caleb returns as heir, not sure that’s the position he wants. Three wonderful, swoon worthy, devilishly good looking and honorable heroes who when faced with the perfect love grasp it and hold on with all their might despite misgivings, circumstances, and the past, willing to fight for the love of their lives and hopes for the future. Three amazing, intelligent, strong, kind and good and successful women, scorned by society and family, who having given up dreams of marriage and bonded together to open an orphanage for the less fortunate. “No Ordinary Duke” Mary and Caleb A woman who fell in love with someone above her station in life. Ugly rumors that ruined her reputation in society. And a heart of gold that put her money to good use taking in orphans with her two friends. Secret identity, misunderstandings, self-doubt and recriminations abound in this beautiful love story. “More than a Rogue” Emily and Griffin A first kiss at an inopportune moment! A forced marriage. Recognizing love in all it’s glory. A need for trust. “Her Seafaring Scoundrel” Devlin and Cassandra Mourning a past love to the extent it closes off any future love. A scandalous past and daughter out of wedlock. Learning to let go and live again. Learning to trust and learning to forgive. Beautifully written and wonderfully told these engaging books are filled with past hurts, emotions, forgiveness, learning to trust, secrets and misunderstandings. With six different characters personalities, honorable yet flawed that delight and enthrall, and sometimes frustrate you and then the secondary characters all well written, you’re sure to find hope and love in these stories. The dialogue is witty, interesting, heartening, and fun. The story’s flow well and while each can be read as a standalone they flow perfectly from one story to the next. Thank you Ms. Barnes for these beautiful stories of finding love, dreams fulfilled and hope when least expecting to.

What a fantastic set! Each of these books is delightful as a standalone romance, but all together they seamlessly flow into one amazing story about two families - one a set of triplet brothers who all left home years ago, the other a makeshift family of friends and orphans - and how their lives become beautifully intertwined. Caleb, the eldest, unexpectedly becomes a duke upon the tragic deaths of his father and brother. He runs across a set of spinsters - three women who have, for various reasons, left Society and banded together to run an informal orphanage. His story intersects with one of the three, Mary, whose own history is inexplicably intertwined with his own. One by one, his brothers Griffin and Devlin make their way home and find their forever afters with Mary's friends, Emily and Cassandra. These stories were such a joy to read! Lots of insightful, honest emotional interplay with just enough sizzle to satisfy. I loved the attention to detail shown in overlapping the stories and characters, and the many years later epilogues are everyone a swooning reader could hope for. If you love historical romances, you don't want to miss these. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
