He doesn't ignore the messiness and difficulties of life, when hard times come and the unexpected knocks us down. He explores what faith means in times of trial and even in the face of death. Through it all he reminds us that what we need is not great faith, but faith in a great God.

Tom Wright is Research Professor Emeritus of New Testament and Early Christianity at the University of St Andrews and Senior Research Fellow at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford.
