Silus has been tasked with watching footage of the illegal death games when he catches sight of a female human. One glance and he knows that she's his. Now he just has to get down onto the surface of the planet, protect her and get them both off again. Simple!? Pria's life has been a nightmare of torture, starvation and cruel taunting until she's literally dropped onto the surface of a planet where almost everything is out to kill her. Resigned to a horrible death when a seriously built alien steps forward saying he's there to save her. Pria is a strong, resilient young woman at the end of tether. Whilst Silus is a protective, battle hardened male laser focused on the new centre of his world. This story leaps from the page from the very start with non stop action, suppressed passion and sweet alien love. Another fabulous book from this author. Loved the cameos by some of the other couples who have come along. Was good to know that they are still out there! Pria has come back to consciousness and has every intention of using anything and everything she can think of to escape the strange cell she found herself in, then the planet she was dropped on. Silus is a Satyr and not one for bloodshed. He has no interest in the acursed games but all that fades to white noise when he spots a Peritan, not any Peritan, his mate. Can he save her?

A Desperate Rescue The crew is still trying to rescue humans from The Trials - when Silas sees Pria in the televised game, he knows he needs to rescue her - she’s his mate. Their time on Kalumba is absolutely harrowing - my heart was in my throat! - and what comes after is both hopeful and heartbreaking. Such a great story, and the teaser for the next has me wanting more Starlight Monsters.
