Sivanandalahari, the Inundation of Divine Bliss, is a work noted as much for its literary beauty as for its devotional fervour. It is traditionally attributed to Sri Shankaracharya. The text uses all devices of poetic art to depict the sentiment of devotion, and highly suggestive metaphors follow one after another in succession presenting the various aspects of devotion in a highly artistic form.
