IT'S HERE! The sixth book in Simone Leigh's epic romantic thriller "Best Served Cold" and what an incredible journey this one takes us on! 'Cold War' is just that, a revenge-filled war perpetrated by an unhinged woman who has stewed and plotted for ten years. While I was intensely reading this I could feel my heart pounding in my chest and the alternating beats were keeping the tempo in my ears. This is an exhilarating, intense, and emotionally charged story

*Getting the Band Back Together* If you haven't read this series yet, you really need to rectify that. Now. Seriously. The action intensifies, tempers flair, justice & injustice swap blows, & love prevails even if dirty, wounded, & stinking to high heaven. It's fantastically written. The father-daughter bonding between Charlotte & Klempner is much needed even if the circumstances are less than ideal. It does seem to reinvigorate Charlotte initially & lend her support later. Speaking of Larry, he's added a new name to the list of aliases: Laroy. I love all of the twists, turns, & loops on this rollercoaster. There are moments that broke some of the tension, times when I want to reach out & touch someone - roughly & w great force, instances when true bravery is displayed, & love & heartache shared. It's a terrific conclusion to this chapter in the BTV universe. By the end, some masts fly tall & proud, which is hot & needed, others shall never fly again.

Conclusion! This was a great conclusion to such an action packed story.picking up from where the last novel ended, Itis all hands on deck -both guys and gals trying to deal with mafia princess revenge in this remote tropical location. Lots of action and lots of re-established connections made the HEA all the sweeter. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
