I loved Secrets & Spires by Dominic N. Ashen. It's the third book in the Steel & Thunder series. I loved Khazak and David's book. The pace of this book seemed to be a little bit slower in parts, but I loved the addition to the party and how they freed the Woman in White. I can't wait to read the fourth book when it comes out. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This series just gets better and better! If you love settings like Skyrim, side quests, unique and realistic characters, sass and a healthy dose of steamy, sexy times this is the series for you! This time, D.N.Ashen blew me away at his ability to sprinkle in subtle storyline details that are blink and you miss'em. He also has a fantastic talent for having unique characters that act and speak in ways that make sense to their character. I seriously do not have enough character space allowed here to type out all ways this series makes me happy, especially without spoilers, so just get the books and keep reading! I am so excited to continue to follow David and Khazak on their journey as a couple as well as their quest to find answers.

With this book, you can certainly see the author's skills as a storyteller starting to shore up. The plot and pace of the story is a lot more defined here and it really holds you from chapter to chapter. The only complaint I have with THIS installment is a somewhat lack of detail when it came to the proofreading the manuscript. There were incoherent passages that made me think that autocorrect had gone unchecked. I hope book 4 will pay more attention. It was a small point. Thanks to the author for the story and the characters.

Dominic N. Ashen is an author and avid reader, with a heavy focus on gay, BDSM-themed erotica. After spending his youth in search of books with characters who were more like himself – queer ones, specifically – he decided to start creating some of his own. His stories star queer protagonists, most often gay and bisexual men, and feature heavy themes of dominance, submission, and all sorts of kinks. Dominic loves the fantasy, sci-fi, and horror genres, with a penchant for writing longer stories where he is able to weave in the sex and kink right alongside the plot.

Ken Allen is a Southern California based audio book producer, voice over artist, and station imaging for internet radio lemonadio.com. After 13 years of being on the air for 2 different radio stations in upstate NY Ken headed out west for a change of scenery. After a short stint on K-Fox radio in San Francisco Ken wanted to start working for himself on his own schedule and terms.
