About this ebook

Grind (verb): to weaken or destroy gradually

Macy Carrington is not the woman I once thought her to be.

What she does not allow her heart to feel, she gives with her body. The sex between us is explosive and depraved. I’ve done things with her that would never have crossed my wildest imagination, and I can’t ever seem to get enough.

But now I want more from her. I want to figure out her dark secret, expose it and then help her to heal from it. I know, without a doubt, that Macy is capable of love, and I will grind her down until I make her accept the truth of it.

Grind (verb): to wear down, polish, or sharpen by friction

Cal Carson is not the man I once thought him to be.

Strong, determined, sexy as hell and a beast in the bedroom. He is every woman’s fantasy.

He is my fantasy.

But no matter how hard Cal tries to grind me down, my heart and secrets are mine and mine alone.

**Cal and Macy’s story is a trilogy within the Legal Affairs series. All three books—Clash, Grind and Yield—must be read in order. You do not have to read the other Legal Affairs books to understand this trilogy.

Grind is the continuation of Cal and Macy's story. It picks up right where Clash ends. Cal, as a favor to Mac, he represents Macy in a Alienation of Affection lawsuit, once that is completed, they pick up sex-only relationship. But as things progress, Cal tries to "nudge" Macy into a more normal relationship. When they make a deal with each other, BOTH are pushed out of their comfort zones. Throw in Macy's apparently very dysfunctional family, and things could go south very quickly. Like Clash, Grind is written almost entirely from Cal's point of view. It's interesting that the only glimpses we get into what Macy thinks or feels are the little peeks into her diary. Of course, you also have what Cal observes as he tries to figure out what makes her tick. Being that this is the second book of three, I'm thrilled the last one is just a couple of weeks away, because this will certainly leave you hanging.

The sex affair between Cal and Macy is not the only thing great about this book. The legal parts are amazing. Must read.

About the author

Since the release of her debut contemporary romance novel, Off Sides, in January 2013, Sawyer Bennett has released multiple books, many of which have appeared on the New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists.

A reformed trial lawyer from North Carolina, Sawyer uses real life experience to create relatable, sexy stories that appeal to a wide array of readers. From new adult to erotic contemporary romance, Sawyer writes something for just about everyone.

Sawyer likes her Bloody Marys strong, her martinis dirty, and her heroes a combination of the two. When not bringing fictional romance to life, Sawyer is a chauffeur, stylist, chef, maid, and personal assistant to a very active daughter, as well as full-time servant to her adorably naughty dogs. She believes in the good of others, and that a bad day can be cured with a great work-out, cake, or even better, both.

Sawyer also writes general and women’s fiction under the pen name S. Bennett and sweet romance under the name Juliette Poe.
